I have to admit, I'm blown away by some of the things people create. I must've been living in the dark ages of horror and cryptic cemeteries by moonlight for too long. There are some truly beautiful works of art out there.
Next on the list is Long Weekend, a tale of romance with a science-fiction bent. At first, I didn't think they would have guts to take that angle, but they did, and I was laughing in sheer delight by the end of the film. There are a few others in this vein I will add soon, but if you haven't seen Long Weekend, I highly recommend it. Indie films are where the true magic lies. That is what I'm discovering. They break the tropes, take unconventional routes, and leave you gasping in wonder. Long Weekend is just such a tale. Get ready to smile!
