I have to mention Little Fish, which I just watched the other day. This movie is heartbreakingly sad. It is also almost unbearably beautiful. You put those two things together, and you get Little Fish. I know it's not for everyone, but I think heartbreakingly sad and beautiful go so well together, it's impossible not to hit the mark. I don't like Hallmark-y, sentimental, gushy movies. If you're going to go the romantic route, you have to be raw, honest, and sincere. I think it works better that way. Little Fish was absolutely stunning. Don't take whatever beautiful thing you have for granted. The message in this movie is a tad more powerful than that, but you won't forget it.
